General Interest Open Cut Repair and Replacement

AllClear Underground Solutions is accepting general interest applications for our Open Cut Repair and Replacement crews. If you do not see a current opening that matches your experience, submit an application and tell us which position interests you.

Available Positions

• Backhoe Operator: Operates backhoes and other heavy equipment for excavation, trenching, backfilling, compacting, pipe handling, and utility installation work. Previous backhoe and heavy-equipment experience is required.
• Front-End Loader Operator: Operates front-end loaders with buckets, forks, and other attachments to move materials, load trucks, transport pipe and fittings, backfill trenches, and support site operations.
• Hillman: Supports the crew with site preparation, trench work, material handling, tools, cleanup, barricades, scaffolding, and other general construction duties.
• Pipe Layer: Installs and repairs underground water, reclaimed water, gas, sewer, and drainage systems. This role positions, aligns, joins, wraps, and seals pipe while maintaining the required grade.
• Tailman: Assists Pipe Layers and equipment operators with trench preparation, materials, tools, grading, rigging, concrete work, and underground utility installation.

What to Expect

These are full-time, hourly field positions that require travel to job sites. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional night or weekend work based on project needs. Employees work outdoors in changing weather, around underground infrastructure, and sometimes in confined spaces.

General Qualifications

Applicants should be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions and work effectively with a crew. Depending on the position, construction or equipment-operating experience may be required. A valid driver’s license is required or preferred based on the role.

The work is physically demanding and may include lifting and moving materials weighing up to 80 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, working on uneven terrain, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
