Job Description:

Brown Contracting, is looking for a hardworking, mechanically inclined Shop Hand to join our Sherwood shop team. This position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical experience who enjoys working with their hands and wants to continue developing their skills in a construction equipment shop.

You will be responsible for basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on small tools and equipment while assisting our current mechanic with routine maintenance and repair tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with 2-stroke engine, a basic understanding of mechanical tools, be able to complete simple repairs, and know when to ask for assistance. Familiarity with concrete tools is a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License required with reliable transportation
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Hard working and Self-Motivated
• Must have own tools (company will supply specialty tools)

Pay and Benefits:

• Salary: $23 - $25/Hour
• Hours: Mon-Fri days (flexible with frequent overtime)
