Filippin Engineering (FE) is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead the delivery of public infrastructure projects across California’s Central Coast.
This role offers direct ownership of projects, close collaboration with public agency clients, and the opportunity to lead field teams delivering essential infrastructure that serves local communities. Projects may include water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance, along with a broad range of public infrastructure.

Job Description
FE is seeking an experienced and motivated Resident Engineer to join our growing Construction Management team based in Ventura County.
The Resident Engineer serves as the primary onsite representative for the Owner and is responsible for overseeing construction management activities and administering construction contracts for public works projects.
In this role, you will lead project field teams, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.

This position will deploy from FE’s Ventura office, with projects typically located within Ventura County and surrounding regions. Most assignments are within a reasonable commuting distance, occasional travel may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated annual base compensation range from $150,000 to $175,000 depending on experience, project assignment and hours worked. With benefits included total compensation is estimated to range from $180,000 to $210,000. Our generous benefits package includes:
This is an exempt position in compliance with the California Labor Code; however, FE does pay overtime at a straight time rate for overtime.
