This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in a dynamic environment.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems — from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of project execution from initial planning through closeout
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery
- Manage schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
- Manage Equipment Procurement, ensuring equipment lead times do not impact project schedule.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety and quality standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, vendors, and field personnel
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and field teams to ensure accurate scope and execution
- Track project costs and forecast financial performance
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures and client requirements
- Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays proactively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc.)
- Proven success managing commercial, industrial, or institutional mechanical projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, specifications, and codes
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel and Project, or equivalent)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
- PMP certification (a plus but not required)
