Haugland Energy Group, a privately-owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Overhead T&D Director of Operations to join our team. This is a remote position, but travel to the assigned territory may be required.

Key Functions:

  • Direct business strategy operations across multiple regions to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company objectives.
  • Align the General Manager and Regional Managers around operational prioritization, workforce strategy, and resource optimization to support enterprise objectives.
  • Direct operational performance, project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve operational plans, capital expenditures, and major project initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to operational management teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all regions and departments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in utility construction, construction management, engineering, in related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple locations, departments, or business units.
  • Strong understanding of project management, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems and business process improvements.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Travel required based on operational client and business needs.
