Haugland Group, a privately-owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced General Foreman to join our team. This position will be based in our U.S. Virgin Islands territory (St. Thomas and St. Croix).

Key Functions

  • Lead and supervise crews performing underground electrical distribution construction, including conduit, duct bank, cable installation, vaults, and related utility infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate daily field operations, manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with OSHA, NEC, utility standards, and project specifications.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and project progress to meet client expectations, budgets, and milestones.
  • Support utility system upgrades, resiliency initiatives, storm restoration, and occasional overhead distribution work as required.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, clients, and utility representatives to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, labor and equipment tracking, and project documentation.
  • Mentor and develop Foremen, Linemen, Electricians, and field personnel while fostering a strong safety-first culture.

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of electrical utility construction experience, including supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems, electrical construction practices, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands as needed
