Heavy Materials is the leading producer and supplier of construction aggregates, ready-mixed concrete, and cement in the U.S. Virgin Islands. A subsidiary of the Haugland Group, the company operates across the islands and exports materials via barge throughout the Northeastern Caribbean.

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Quarry Miner/Laborer to join our team.

Key Functions:

• Assist with daily quarry operations, including extraction and processing of materials
• Support drilling and blasting activities under supervision
• Load, transport, and stockpile stone, gravel, and other aggregates
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or operational problems

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience in quarrying, mining, construction, or heavy labor preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
