H.B. Neild is looking for highly motivated, experienced Concrete Finishers to join the best construction team in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.

As a Concrete Finisher for H.B. Neild, you will be expected to work safely and in the most professional manner possible to deliver a high-quality product for our commercial and industrial clients. While typically reporting directly to a Project Superintendent or Site Foreman, an H.B. Neild Concrete Finisher may, at times, be tasked with leading a small crew and coordinating daily concrete placement and finishing activities.

Common Daily Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and layout information.
• Setting forms and preparing areas for concrete placement.
• Placing, spreading, and leveling concrete.
• Operating screeds, bull floats, power trowels, vibrators, and other concrete-finishing equipment.
• Finishing concrete surfaces to specified grades and tolerances.
• Applying curing compounds, sealants, and surface treatments.
• Forming and finishing sidewalks, curbs, foundations, slabs, equipment pads, and structural concrete.
• Installing expansion joints, edge forms, and reinforcing materials as required.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Assisting with concrete demolition, repair, and rehabilitation projects as needed.
• Working effectively with project teams to maintain production schedules and quality standards.

In This Position, You:

• Must be able to wear all applicable PPE.
• Must be able to work in outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolds, and work platforms.
• Must be able to repeatedly sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
• Must be able to work from elevations such as man lifts and scaffolds.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Must be committed to maintaining H.B. Neild's high standards for workmanship, safety, and professionalism.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of concrete finishing experience.
• 5+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Experience operating power trowels and concrete-finishing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Insurable driving record.
• Must be able to pass both a drug screening and background verification.
