H.B. Neild is looking for highly motivated, experienced Carpenters to join the best construction team in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
As a Carpenter for H.B. Neild, you will be expected to work safely and in the most professional manner possible to deliver a high quality product for our commercial and industrial clients. While typically directly reporting to a project superintendent or site foreman, an H.B. Neild carpenter may, at times, be tasked with performing job duties while leading a smaller construction team.
Common daily tasks for both rough and finish carpentry include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Framing metal and wood stud structures
- Installing sheetrock, cabinets, doors / door hardware, acoustical ceiling grid and tile
- Building forms, installing wood blocking
- Operating hand tools as required (hammers, electric saws, nail guns, sanding machines, etc.)
In this position, you:
- must be able to wear all applicable PPE,
- must be able to work in outdoor elements for extended periods of time,
- must be able to climb ladders, stairs and scaffolds,
- must be able to repeatedly sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl,
- must be able to work from heights, such as man lifts and scaffolds,
- must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of carpentry experience.
- 5+ years of construction experience.
- Insurable driving record.
- Must be able to pass both a drug screening and background verification.
