Position Overview

JM Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Controls Apprentice to assist with the installation and startup of low-voltage control systems on commercial projects.

This is a great opportunity for individuals with low-voltage wiring experience who want to build a career in HVAC controls and building automation.

Travel is required. Employees will travel to project locations and stay out of town during the workweek, returning home for the weekends. Travel arrangements, lodging, and applicable travel allowances will be provided according to company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Install conduit, raceways, and low-voltage cabling.
• Mount and wire control devices, including sensors, relays, and other components.
• Assist with system startup, testing, and verification.
• Follow project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Complete daily reports and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with low-voltage wiring in construction is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to travel out of town during the workweek and return home for weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and grow in HVAC controls and building automation.
