Position Overview

Marek Sawing & Drilling is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Concrete Sawing & Drilling Helper/Trainees. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the construction industry through hands-on training and mentorship. Helper/Trainees assist experienced Operators with concrete cutting, core drilling, wall sawing, wire sawing, and GPR scanning on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects while developing the skills needed to advance into an Operator role. We are looking for hardworking, dependable, and safety-focused individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career, with advancement opportunities based on performance, initiative, and skill development. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete sawing, core drilling, demolition, and removal activities on active job sites
• Support layout, measuring, and precision cutting operations
• Assist with demolition and structural modification projects
• Work safely in commercial, industrial, medical, and roadway environments
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, Silica Safety standards, and OSHA regulations
• Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
• Learn the safe operation of specialized equipment, including:
  • Flat saws (slab saws)
  • Wall saws
  • Core drills
  • Hand saws and ring saws
  • Wire saws
  • Mini excavators
  • Skid steers
  • Robotic demolition equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment and materials

Qualifications

• Construction, concrete, or general labor experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to travel locally
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Strong focus on safety,precision, and teamwork
• Comfortable working outdoors, indoors,or confined environments
• Willingness to work nights,weekends, and overtimeas needed
