Job Title: Electrical Heat Trace Helper

Job Summary:

The Electrical Heat Trace Helper assists Heat Trace Technicians and Electricians with the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical heat tracing systems used on piping, tanks, vessels, and other industrial equipment. This position requires working in industrial environments while following all safety procedures and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with installing electric heat trace cable systems on pipes, tanks, and process equipment.
• Help pull, route, secure, and terminate heat trace cables.
• Install insulation, heat trace labels, and weatherproofing materials as directed.
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing heat tracing systems.
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, site-specific requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform material handling, loading, unloading, and inventory tasks.
• Assist with inspections and testing of heat trace systems.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous industrial, construction, or electrical experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to pass required drug screens, background checks, and site-specific training.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations, which permits employee to investigations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permit the employee to perform routine office duties.
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
• Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
