Job Description

We are looking for a Solar Sales Apprentice to support our senior sales consultant and learn the residential solar sales process. Although this is an entry-level solar sales role, the best candidate will have several years of experience working for a contractor, construction company, roofing company, electrical contractor, HVAC company, or similar trade business. Solar contractor experience is ideal, but not required.

This role is a good fit for someone who understands homeowners, job sites, estimates, schedules, crews, and customer expectations, and wants to use that experience to grow into professional solar sales.

The apprentice will help with customer follow-up, appointment preparation, proposal support, CRM updates, and gathering project details such as utility bills, roof information, customer goals, and site conditions. The apprentice will also learn how to explain solar systems, battery options, utility billing, incentives, financing, and project timelines clearly.

Strong communication, organization, reliability, and a customer-focused attitude are important. Prior sales experience is helpful, but practical experience working in or around the trades is more important.

Training and Growth Opportunity

This position is designed as a training path into a solar sales representative role. The apprentice will learn by working closely with a senior sales consultant, attending appointments, helping with proposals, and gradually taking on more responsibility until they are ready to manage their own sales opportunities.
