PVB Fabrications, Inc. (PVB), a direct-hire, multi-disciplined industrial construction and metal fabrication company, is seeking a Construction & Skilled Trades Recruiter to support project staffing needs throughout Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
This isn't your typical recruiting role.

About the Role
This position will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong pipeline of skilled trades and field personnel, responding quickly to project staffing needs, and developing relationships with candidates, trade professionals, industry contacts, and community organizations.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruit skilled craft and field professionals for industrial construction and fabrication projects.
- Build and maintain strong networks of skilled tradespeople, labor contacts, trade schools, unions, associations, and other industry resources.
- Proactively source candidates through industry contacts, referrals, networking, job boards, social media, and other creative recruiting methods.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines, including traveling craft professionals, to support short- and long-term project staffing needs.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and operations leadership to understand workforce needs and respond quickly to changing project requirements.
- Screen and interview candidates to evaluate trade experience, technical skills, qualifications, availability, reliability, and project fit.
- Verify required certifications, licenses, and credentials, including OSHA, MSHA, AWS, NCCER, and other position-specific requirements.
- Coordinate the hiring process, including interviews, offers, pre-employment screening, and onboarding, while maintaining strong candidate communication and experience.
- Represent the company at job fairs, trade events, networking opportunities, trade schools, and community outreach activities to expand recruiting pipelines.
- Track recruiting activity and hiring progress, identify labor market challenges, and develop strategies to attract qualified skilled trades professionals.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of recruiting, staffing, construction, industrial, or skilled trades experience preferred.
- Strong construction industry relationships, trade contacts, or labor networks may substitute for traditional recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting or working with hourly craft and field personnel strongly preferred.
- Construction trade knowledge and experience in industrial construction, fabrication, manufacturing, heavy civil, mining, utilities, infrastructure, or related industries highly valued.
- Proven ability to source candidates through industry networks, referrals, job boards, social media, and other recruiting channels.
- Full-cycle recruiting experience preferred but not required for candidates with strong industry relationships and sourcing skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent education and relevant experience considered.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing project needs, manage multiple priorities, work extended hours, and travel as needed.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including background check and drug testing.
