The Electricians

Senior Electrical Estimator
Centennial, CO
Full Time
5+ years of experience
$100000 - $160000

Description

Build More Than Estimates

The Electricians is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator who wants meaningful responsibility, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to help shape a growing preconstruction department.

This is not a takeoff only position. The person joining our team will influence which projects we pursue, how we approach them, and how successfully they transition from estimate to execution.

The ideal candidate can independently manage complex electrical estimates from initial opportunity review through proposal submission and project turnover. We will also consider a qualified electrical estimator with strong commercial experience, sound judgment, and the ability to grow into a senior position.

About The Electricians

The Electricians is a growing electrical contractor completing commercial construction, tenant improvements, specialty projects, and residential and commercial service work across Colorado and surrounding markets.

Our experience includes major sports facilities, educational campuses, industrial projects, large tenant improvements, car washes, fuel stations, commercial EV charging infrastructure, generators, battery backup systems, and technically demanding service work.

We are large enough to pursue substantial and complex projects, but still structured so good ideas are heard, decisions can be made quickly, and individual contributions matter.

What You Will Do

• Review invitations to bid and help identify projects that align with our capabilities, resources, and financial goals

• Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid requirements

• Prepare complete estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and related project costs

• Perform accurate takeoffs for commercial construction, tenant improvements, remodels, design build work, and specialty projects

• Solicit, compare, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations

• Develop inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, clarifications, and value engineering options

• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, scheduling risks, and potential cost exposure

• Prepare professional proposals and participate in strategy meetings, site walks, scope reviews, and post bid discussions

• Coordinate complete and organized turnover packages for project management and operations

• Maintain accurate pricing, labor assumptions, estimating records, and historical cost information

• Help improve the systems, standards, and processes used by our estimating department

What We Are Looking For

• Five or more years of electrical estimating experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, labor, installation methods, and sequencing

• Ability to independently prepare complete electrical estimates

• Experience interpreting plans, specifications, one line diagrams, addenda, and contract documents

• Experience with Accubid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, or comparable estimating software

• Strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail

• Clear and confident communication with general contractors, vendors, project managers, and field leadership

• Ability to organize and manage multiple active bids and firm deadlines

• Electrical field, project coordination, or project management experience is highly valued

A college degree is not required.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, demonstrated ability, and the level of responsibility the selected candidate is prepared to assume.

For an exceptional candidate, the total compensation package may reach $200,000 through a combination of base salary, performance incentives, employer provided benefits, and other negotiated compensation.

Performance incentives are not guaranteed and will depend on the final compensation arrangement, individual contribution, estimating accuracy, profitable awarded work, margin protection, and company performance.

Why Join The Electricians

You will join a company where the estimating department has a direct impact on strategy, profitability, and growth.

We value good judgment, personal accountability, honest communication, and people who identify solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do. We take the work seriously without making the workplace unnecessarily corporate or political.

There is a clear opportunity to grow into broader estimating, preconstruction, or departmental leadership as the company expands.
