Concrete Estimator – Las Vegas

Coronado Concrete is seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator to join our Las Vegas team.

We are an established concrete contractor serving the Las Vegas market. A large portion of our work is performed for major residential homebuilders and consists of production flatwork and concrete construction. We also perform commercial slab work, site concrete and related sitework.

We are looking for an estimator who understands concrete construction, can accurately read plans and specifications, and is comfortable managing bids from initial takeoff through final proposal.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications and bid documents
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete and related sitework
• Prepare labor, material, equipment and subcontractor cost estimates
• Develop competitive bid pricing and complete proposals
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions and potential cost or constructability issues
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor pricing as needed
• Review addenda and revise estimates accordingly
• Maintain organized estimating files, takeoffs and bid documentation
• Communicate with general contractors, homebuilders, vendors and internal operations staff
• Assist with handoff of awarded projects from estimating to operations
• Track bid results and help maintain current pricing based on market conditions and completed work

Typical Project Scope

Our work includes a mix of:

• Residential production concrete and flatwork
• Foundations and slabs
• Driveways, patios, sidewalks and other exterior flatwork
• Commercial slabs
• Curbs, gutters, ramps and other site concrete
• Sitework and related grading/excavation

Qualifications

• Previous concrete estimating experience is required
• Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials and sequencing
• Experience reading civil, structural and architectural plans
• Strong quantity takeoff and cost-estimating skills
• Experience with residential production/homebuilder work is strongly preferred
• Experience estimating commercial concrete and/or sitework is a plus
• Comfortable using digital plans, takeoff software and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines at the same time
• Familiarity with the Las Vegas construction market is strongly preferred

This is a Las Vegas-based position and is intended for an estimator who can become an integral part of our concrete operation rather than simply prepare takeoffs.
