The best fit for this position:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily construction staking and work layout tasks for all phases of concrete construction structures. Perform calculations from plans for laying out foundations, columns, slabs, elevator pits, walls, etc. Perform as-built surveys for quality control and documentation purposes.

Daily challenges and goals:

• Set up and maintain permanent control throughout the entire project.
• Validate accurate dimensions by reviewing the architectural and structural drawings prior to execution.
• Layout footings, column lines (using batter-boards when feasible), re-bar placement, wall lines, embeds, anchor bolts, and more on site and store data points for layout accountability. Provide verification of layout points as necessary.
• Schedule calibration and maintenance of equipment when its due and make sure WSI’s teams operate with well-maintained and accurate layout equipment.

What do you need to succeed in this Role?

• Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and total stations survey equipment and software.
• Obtain OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid.
• Effective problem solving capabilities and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction principles/practices.
• Experience with using advanced instruments and capable of using Total Station to perform layouts.
