About the Role

Northern Sun Electric is hiring an Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations across our industrial solar portfolio. This is a traveling, site-based role: you'll move between active ground-mount projects, owning safety, quality, schedule, and crew performance from mobilization through commissioning. If you're a hands-on field leader who takes pride in building things right and keeping crews safe, we want to talk.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise electrical crews and subcontractors across multiple concurrent solar sites.
• Own jobsite safety — enforce OSHA and company safety standards, lead toolbox talks, and drive a zero-incident culture.
• Manage daily field operations: scheduling, manpower planning, material coordination, and productivity tracking.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers and utility inspectors to keep installations on schedule and inspection-ready.
• Oversee DC and AC installation, terminations, combiner boxes, inverters, and interconnection work.
• Ensure quality control and code compliance (NEC) through all phases of construction and commissioning.
• Document daily reports, track progress against schedule, and flag risks early.

What You Bring

• 5–10 years of electrical construction experience, with field supervisory/superintendent experience on commercial or solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and electrical installation practices.
• Solar-specific experience (PV systems, inverters, racking, interconnection) strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and structural construction documents.
• Proven leadership — you can run crews, hold people accountable, and keep morale high.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites for extended periods.
• OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain); master electrician license a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
