About the Role

Northern Sun Electric is hiring an Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations across our industrial solar portfolio. This is a traveling, site-based role: you'll move between active ground-mount projects, owning safety, quality, schedule, and crew performance from mobilization through commissioning. What You'll Do

Lead and supervise electrical crews and subcontractors across multiple concurrent solar sites.
Own jobsite safety — enforce OSHA and company safety standards, lead toolbox talks, and drive a zero-incident culture.
Manage daily field operations: scheduling, manpower planning, material coordination, and productivity tracking.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and project specifications.
Coordinate with project managers and utility inspectors to keep installations on schedule and inspection-ready.
Oversee DC and AC installation, terminations, combiner boxes, inverters, and interconnection work.
Ensure quality control and code compliance (NEC) through all phases of construction and commissioning.
Document daily reports, track progress against schedule, and flag risks early.

What You Bring

5–10 years of electrical construction experience, with field supervisory/superintendent experience on commercial or solar projects.
Strong knowledge of the NEC and electrical installation practices.
Solar-specific experience (PV systems, inverters, racking, interconnection) strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and structural construction documents.
Proven leadership — you can run crews, hold people accountable, and keep morale high.
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites for extended periods.
OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain); master electrician license a plus.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
